Nestled on the northernmost coast of Calabria, the Riviera dei Cedri is a region where the convergence of beaches, mountains, and a unique microclimate gives birth to exceptional agricultural products. This region also is very challenging for farming. Luciano and his family have been experimenting for many years with choosing the right plants. I was amazed at the amount of work that is done by only 11 people during the summer season and only 3 people during the rest of the year. KALAB aims to showcase the agricultural treasures of Southern Italy, focusing on niche items that are often overlooked in global markets. As the 5th generation of farming families and the 3rd generation of skilled farmers, they are dedicated to offering customers carefully selected and expertly packaged goods, establishing a relationship of trust and professionalism.

KALAB is not just a brand; it represents the culmination of a longstanding agricultural heritage. With their family-owned land and partnerships with other farmers, they cultivate a wide variety of crops, each with its own story and significance. Their expertise lies in the production of thousands of seedlings, including native varieties of chilli berries like the renowned "Diavolicchio Diamante." They also cultivate sought-after chilli varieties that have held the Guinness World Record for spiciness since 1994.

Additionally, KALAB has extensive experience in propagating citrus fruits, both traditional cultivars and new varieties highly sought after in the realms of Gourmet Gastronomy and Bartending.
